According to a recent article from Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics, “Nearly 30% of all physicians are graduating with more than $200,000 in student loans; more than half are $100,000 in debt. Is it a surprise that most students do not choose primary care speacities, which pay far less, in general, than other specialties. Nearly one-third of all medical graduates with debt intend to reduce their oblications through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
