We Care Network

Many physicians in our local community participate in the CMS Foundation We Care Network program, donating specialty medical care-to low-income, uninsured patients in greatest need. Patients are screened for eligibility by our team of case managers. Donating providers set their own parameters regarding their level of participation. Once the donating provider finishes providing treatment to a We Care Network patient, the patient is referred back to their primary care home—they do not become the donating provider’s permanent responsibility. Participating providers are eligible for up to 5 CME credits per biennium and are protected as a We Care Network volunteer via a Sovereign Immunity Contract provided free of charge through the state of Florida.
